Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Who’s
the fairest of them all?
Look in the mirror and what do you see?
Big brown eyes and a smile of glee.
The eyes tell stories of tears unshed,
Instead her arms bare lines of promises broken.
Mirror, Mirror on the wall,
Who’s the fairest of them all?
The outside world sees her beauty but all she sees
Is an empty vessel wasted on a broken soul.
Her flaws hang on her sides refusing to move,
No matter how many times her fingers find her throat.
Mirror, Mirror on the wall,
Who’s the fairest of them all?
Look in the mirror and what do you see?
A bright smile hiding the loud cracks of a still beating heart.
Look in the mirror and what do you see?
Her laughter drowning out the cries of her dying soul.
The masks she wears hide it well,
But now it seems that the masks can’t come off.
So I ask you this;
Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Who’s the truest of them all?
