Cruz Vodka Ignites Sandton in Spectacular SA Fashion Week Kickoff Bash

There’s no party like a fashion week party. To set the stage for this season’s South African Fashion Week, CRUZ Vodka officiated opening night with a dazzling spectacle of glitz and glamour. 

This year’s bash marks Cruz’s continued, long-standing commitment to the South African fashion industry. The event was an opportunity for the brand to celebrate the intersection of fashion, music, and culture. It also allows them to provide a platform for emerging designers and artists.

Cruz Vodka Hosts SA Fashion Week Opening Night Festivities

Hosted at the prestigious Aurum Restaurant, the exclusive affair was attended by the biggest celebrities, personalities, and media from the world of fashion and entertainment.

But of course, it’s less about who was on the guest list, and more about who wore what. As expected, guests pushed the boundaries of style and creativity. They wore stunning ensembles that showcased the diversity and dynamism of the country’s local fashion scene.

For instance, we had Kay Sibiya and Judie Kama shutting down the black carpet with their matching Loxion Kulcha outfits. Additionally, some of our favourite SA fashion designers like Ephraim Molingoana (Ephymol) and Inga Gubeka (Inga Atelier), attendended the festivities.

In being gracious hosts, guests enjoyed decadent, handcrafted New York Cruz Vodka cocktails, a tantalizing spread of gourmet delights and of course high fashion – all inspired by the theme New York, New York City. 

With a beautiful theme, great drinks and the backdrop of the Sandton skyline – SA Fashion Week opening night was the perfect complement to kick-start a week of SA fashion celebrations.

Did we also mention that guests were witness to electrifying performances by South African music sensation Khuli Chana alongside the vibrant beats by DJs Just Judie and Denise Marz?

SA Fashion Week runway shows will take place from Thursday evening until Saturday 21st October. With three days of incredible South African fashion being showcased to an eager SA audience and fashion enthusiasts from around the world at the Mall of Africa.
