There’s clearly something in the South African air when it comes to RnB singers. The past year has seen the likes of Tamia, Joe, and Boyz II Men hit South Africa, and keeping in line with the tradition set by Glen 21 is four-time Grammy nominee Keyshia Cole.
Keyshia Cole To Set off South African Spring
Setting off the South African spring musical season and making her debut in Mzansi is the iconic R&B songstress Keyshia Cole, who has enjoyed almost two decades in the music industry. Releasing her debut album in 2005, which featured the raw and vocally spectacular single I Should Have Cheated, Cole has since produced soulful vocals and relatable lyrics that explore themes of love, heartbreak, and empowerment.
Following the success of her first album, Cole released her second studio album, Just Like You, in 2007. It features my favourite Keyshia Cole song of all time, Heaven Sent, as well as other popular favourites like Shoulda Let You Go and Let It Go.
“Not only does [Keyshia Cole’s] music resonate with audiences around the globe, but she has a huge following in the country… Expect an unforgettable night of positive vibes, high energy and great soulful music—the perfect combination.” – Glen Netshipise, CEO of Glen21 Entertainment.
