The third season of The Mommy Club debuted on Showmax on the 15th. It featured newcomers Mrs J, Pheladi, Noksie, and Vuyi, joining Hermajesty, Mrs Sande, and friends of the show Mrs Mops and Nozipho Ntshangase. While the latest episode saw Mrs Mops and Nozipho Ntshangase bid farewell to the hottest club on Showmax, it also introduced us to a new member: Rosette Ncwana.
Rosette Ncwana: The Mommy Club
A South African fashion icon with 21 years in the industry, supermodel and entrepreneur Rosette Ncwana has graced the covers of top magazines like Elle and True Love, and has been the face of brands such as Ponds.
Whilst the world may be familiar with her face, Ncwana was eager to join The Mommy Club to bring a mix of elegance, strength, and realness and share a different side of herself,
“As someone often in the spotlight, it’s easy for people to see only one dimension of who I am. I wanted to be part of something authentic that truly connects with people.”
Ncwana adds that as a mother, she fell in love with the idea of connecting with other women navigating similar experiences and having been on reality TV before, she was more than excited to renter that field. She explained her experience of filming the show as “fun, emotional, and sometimes challenging, but overall, I loved every moment.”
A Delicate Balance
Describing her mothering style as a balance of structure and warmth, Ncwana believes in setting boundaries and instilling good values, but also making sure her children feel loved, supported, and heard.
As for how she handled balancing motherhood and my career whilst being on camera, Ncwana referred to the process as a learning curve,
“It gave me a chance to reflect on my growth. The connections I made with some of the moms were genuine, and I’m grateful for the journey.”
With that, she hopes that viewers who watch the show learn to embrace the ugly side of being human, flaws and all,
“We all face challenges, and it’s important to handle them in your way, without trying to live up to anyone else’s expectations. I want people to feel empowered to be themselves, stand up for what’s right, and still be kind. It’s about showing up for yourself and your loved ones, even on the tough days.”
