A “force multiplier” is defined as someone who significantly amplifies the chaos, drama, or overall impact of a show, without trying too hard. Think pre-peach Marlo Hampton or Alison Dubois and her iconic electronic cigarette that wasn’t as fiery as her (accurate?) prediction of Kyle Richards’ marriage. Bringing this idea closer to home is the gorgeous Londie London, whose return to our Showmax screens continues to prove why she’s the ultimate housewife, regardless of whether she’s in the title card.
Londie London: A Friendly Housewife
First rising to fame in 2015 as a social media influencer, Londie has since been signed to a major record label, launched her own hair business, and starred in the first-ever “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – South Africa.”
While she took a step back from The Real Housewives of Durban, the 33-year-old is back on our screens, and we couldn’t be happier. No stranger to the finer things in life, Londie’s return to the Real Housewives franchise continues to remind viewers what this show is supposed to be about: wealth (high-end bikinis), fashion and a little shade.
“It feels amazing to be back, especially now that I am in a very comfortable space in my life,” explains the mom of two, adding that the show has drastically changed since she first joined in 2022 during the show’s second season,
“It is not just about the new faces; the overall energy and atmosphere are completely different. This season, I am focused on bringing more positivity and sharing what it feels like to rediscover yourself as a single mother.”
Rumblings in London
While some things change, some stay the same, as conflict will always be a staple amongst our Durban housewives. Take Minnie Ntuli, a new friend of the show, who, unexplainably, seems to be butting heads with Ms. London,
“I do not think the women expected me to return, and being a public figure adds another dimension. People often form opinions based on what they see in the media and miss the opportunity to get to know who you truly are. That gap in understanding can create tension before any words are even exchanged.”
Londie has also clashed with veteran housewife Nonku Williams, whose issue stem from the successful season of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls‘ Trip South Africa. As for the reasons for the conflict?
“We are both strong personalities, and that naturally leads to tension. I also think Nonku does not respond well to being held accountable. I am very straightforward, and I say things as they are, which can be uncomfortable for some people.”
Now she may have successfully roasted Helen Zille in The Showmax Roast of Helen Zille, yet Londie is the first to admit that sharing a platform with eight other women is scarier,
“With The Showmax Roast, everyone knows they are there to laugh, joke, and have fun. I love comedy, so I can enjoy that space without taking things personally. The Housewives, on the other hand, demand emotional awareness and strength.”

Speaking of awareness and strength, the 33-year-old is more than ready for the reunion, eager to address everything and looking good whilst doing it.
In the meantime, she encourages viewers to continue watching The Real Housewives of Durban, as the remaining episode promises twists that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
“Even I cannot wait to see how it all unfolds,” shares Londie.
