Bringing together some of Africa’s most iconic Housewives for an unforgettable escape, set against the vibrant energy and sunshine of Rio, Brazil, Showmax’s The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa drops on Friday, 28 November, with the series also airing on Mzansi Magic on Saturdays from 6 December at 7PM. Officially going continental, the second season of the franchise not only features Housewives from South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria, but it also includes Johannesburg housewife Christall Kay returning for a second time as the Ultimate Housewife.
Christall Kay Loves A Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip
The latest season is a true girls’ trip with Annie Mthembu, Angel Ndlela, and Jojo Robinson representing The Real Housewives of Durban, and Kenya bringing The Real Housewives of Nairobi stars Dr Catherine Masitsa and Zena Nyambu. Nigeria is adding extra spice with Princess Jecoco from Abuja and Mariam Timmer from Lagos, while The Real Housewives of Johannesburg features Madam Evodia Mogase and a returning Christall Kay.
With it being the second time around, Kay was more focused on her wardrobe than anything else, revealing that the first thing she packed was her bikini, “and definitely a thong, because it’s Brazil.”
She added that she made sure to bring along some fantastic outfits to “blow those girls away” and perhaps meet the man of her dreams, “After all, they do have some of the best-looking men in the world, and I certainly wasn’t going to let that opportunity go to waste.”
Making sure to also pack her samba outfit and her special dancing shoes, it’s clear that Kay was fully armed and ready for her second Ultimate Girls Trip.
As for the other ladies who may be too nervous about the upcoming trip to focus on their choice of bikinis, Kay has a simple piece of advice for them: “Be real and authentic.”
She adds that the other women should enjoy the experience and take in the beautiful surroundings, but most importantly, don’t come for her unless she sends for you,
“Do not insult or bully me because you will definitely regret it. Don’t mess with me. I never start, but I do respond!”
New Friends, Old Foes
Making new friends isn’t always easy, but Kay was looking forward to engaging with Jojo Robinson, as she’s the only one she’s a fan of. That said, Kay isn’t averse to engaging with old foes, especially with her season 1 ‘archenemy’ Evodia joining her in Rio. In fact, Kay shared that she was looking forward to reconnecting with Evodia again, as there was a certain level of respect between them.
“We always had our fights, but we also came together as well, so we’ll see what happens this time. And as for whom I would swap and replace? Let’s wait for the season to play out before I comment.”
