The Ultimate Girls Trip has definitely been one of my favourite spin-offs from The Real Housewives universe, so I was always a bit sad when the format didn’t include reunions. However, as is their nature, Showmax is redefining reality TV and resetting the standards as they’ve just announced that the first-ever The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa reunion in the world is set to take place with MaBlerh leading the way.
MaBlerh to host The RHUGT: Africa Reunion
On 28 November 2025, The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa is bringing together some of the continent’s most iconic Housewives for the ultimate girls’ trip, set against the colourful backdrop of Rio, Brazil. The cast included Real Housewives of Johannesburg‘s Madame Evodia and Christall Kay; Annie Mthembu, Angel Ndlela, and Jojo Robinson from The Real Housewives of Durban, and The Real Housewives of Nairobi stars Dr Catherine Masitsa and Zena Nyambu, as well as Princess Jecoco from Abuja, and Mariam Timmer from Lagos.
Over the past few weeks, we watched as Africa’s most famous housewives fought, salsa’d, got dragged on every social media platform before going private with their accounts, and embraced the power of sisterhood. Now, with the upcoming reunion, which marks the first time that an Ultimate Girls Trip cast has come together to recap the season, the show solidifies the season’s place as a historic milestone for the franchise.
For MaBlerh, this isn’t his first foray into hosting a housewives reunion, but this time is definitely a little different, especially with the Ultimate Girls Trip format,
“It represents Africa taking the lead on a global stage. This season sets a new standard and proves that Africa can deliver premium, appointment-viewing television at the highest level.”
MeBlerh describes getting to host the first-ever The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip reunion as a ‘career-defining moment,’ and being able to do so on African soil is something he is incredibly proud of.
Describing the season as season is dramatic, intense, and completely unfiltered, MaBlerh’s plan going into the reunion is to address everything head-on,
“Everyone will be held accountable, and everything will be put on the table. My approach is not to avoid any topic or soften the truth. If it happened, it will be discussed openly and honestly.”
Yet, if the past few weeks are anything to go by, the cast definitely features many strong and fierce personalities, so it may be easier said than done. Nonetheless, the TV personality isn’t worried,
“I am a professional, and I have been curating conversations for years,” he says, “I remain impartial by holding everyone to the same standard. There will be no favouritism, no special treatment, and no protection from accountability.”
Watch The RHUGT: Africa Reunion
Airing in two parts on Showmax, the first episode of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa will be available on 20 February 2026, and the second on 27 February 2026. It will later air on Mzansi Magic, with the first part releasing on 21 February and the second part on 28 February 2026.
If you’re thinking of skipping the reunion, MaBlerh has a pretty good reason as to why you shouldn’t.
“People should watch the reunion to see how the story ends. There has been a lot of conversation online and everywhere else, and the reunion gives the women the opportunity to answer for themselves and speak directly to what has been said.”
