For fans who were hoping to celebrate Doja Cat’s homecoming in 2025 and were left disappointed, the good news is that Global Citizen has come to the rescue. As headliner for their Move Afrika Tour, the Grammy-winning singer is set perform in South Africa for the first time.
Global Citizen’s Move Afrika Tour
Rooted in culture and built to support job opportunities, skills development initiatives, and creative industries across African cities, Move Afrika is now in its third year. Returning to Kigali, Rwanda, where Kendrick Lamar previously performed before headlining the Hey Neighbour festival in 2023, the concert now expands to South Africa, connecting global artists with local talent, production crews, and audiences through world-class live events.
More than a concert series, Move Afrika is about people at its core. Each event creates job opportunities across the live events value chain, from sound and lighting to logistics and creative services, all by working with local crews, suppliers, and artists. The result is hands-on skills transfer and stronger local production ecosystems aimed at extending beyond a single show.
