Bienvenue à Maison Martell: Joburg’s New Luxury Destination

If you’re looking for a cultural residence designed to bring together contemporary culture and an immersive encounter with the oldest cognac houses, then welcome to Maison Martell, which officially opens in Joburg on Thursday, 12 March 2026, at Montecasino in Fourways.

Maison Martell Opens Its Luxurious Doors

Open every weekend this month (Thursday to Sunday), the Maison transforms the Montecasino Outdoor Event Area into a destination of luxury – where music, culinary artistry, and cognac craftsmanship converge in an atmosphere designed for discovery, connection, and refined indulgence.

Guests are invited to explore the space through a curated walk-through experience, including guided tastings of Martell’s celebrated Blue Swift & XO expressions, alongside a brief journey into the Maison’s rich history and craftsmanship — a heritage that spans more than three centuries.

The Music

Throughout the residency, guests will be immersed in a month-long celebration of music and culture, featuring iconic South African artists.
The weekend programme brings together a refined selection of South Africa’s most compelling musical voices. Afro-house DJ Darque opens on Thursday, followed by the unmistakable Amapiano sound of DJ Stokie on Friday, 13 March.

On Saturday, 14 March, Dlala Thukzin delivers his signature high-energy set, before the weekend closes on Sunday, 15 March 2026, with the soulful elegance of Langa Mavuso, whose rich vocals promise a beautifully composed finale.

The Gastronomy

What’s a good house without some delicious food?

In addition to the music, culinary offerings will be curated by one of Africa’s most distinctive culinary voices, Chef Coco Reinarz. A chef, innovator, and storyteller, Chef Coco celebrates the continent’s vibrant flavours with global sophistication. Trained in the classical French tradition and having honed his craft in Michelin-starred kitchens, he is the visionary behind Epicure at One, where African heritage meets contemporary haute cuisine.
At the Maison, his menus are designed to evoke emotion – celebrating Africa’s culinary identity through refined, modern expression.

The Fashion

Why not store your amazing looks in the big house?

When it comes to fashion, there is no compromise. Martell has partnered with global fashion house Bantu Gold, a brand redefining contemporary African style, to create an exclusive collection for the Maison Martell experience.

Fresh off the runway at New York Fashion Week, with previous showcases at Dubai Fashion Week, Bantu Gold continues to shape the global conversation around modern African fashion. Known for merging heritage, craftsmanship, and progressive design, the house presents a limited edition Bantu Maison collection featuring elevated apparel, accessories, and storytelling pieces crafted for the culture.

Designed as a meeting point between luxury cognac and modern African style, the collection offers guests a wearable expression of the Maison Martell experience. Guests will have the opportunity to explore and purchase these exclusive pieces throughout the residency.

“Martell’s philosophy of time, craft and patience blends naturally with South Africa’s cultural economy — driven by creativity, collaboration and influence. The Maison is where these worlds meet, and you are invited” – Tintswalo Baloyi, Category Director: Prestige & High Energy at Pernod Ricard South Africa.
