Following a successful 2025 show that featured RnB duo DVSN, the festival is now bringing soulful crooner SiR as their headliner this May.
Once Upon a Groove With SiR
Having positioned itself as the perfect place to to celebrates R&B and neo-soul acts, local audiences are constantly on the look out for which global acts Once Upon A Time in Joburg will bring to entertain them. As such, after taking to social media to tease fans days before using one of SiR’s tracks in a cryptic post, the festival officially announced that SiR would be headlining and fans couldn’t be happier.
Grammy-nominated and known for his smooth vocals, SiR has emerged as a key voice in the genre of the fusion of soul, hip-hop, and contemporary R&B. Having heard his voice for the first time during an episode of Insecure, I wasn’t surprised once he started earning praise for his soulful sound and emotionally honest storytelling, especially with Sprojects like November and Chasing Summer.
