Y, the heartbeat of Joburg’s youth culture, is turning up the RnB heat this summer with LYFE, the ultimate music experience happening on Saturday, 6 December at Marks Park, Emmarentia. This year, LYFE brings the vibe with an exclusive performance by international R&B sensation Sabrina Claudio, best known for her sultry hits like “Belong to You” and “Unravel Me.”
LYFE 2025: Where Music, Culture, and Style Collide
A Miami-born American singer and songwriter of Cuban and Puerto Rican descent, Sabrina Claudio has gained me and others as fans thanks to her moody and lush R&B music.
After uploading original tracks to SoundCloud in 2016, she later released her incredible debut EP, Confidently Lost, in 2017, which featured timeless classics like ‘Confidently Lost’, ‘Orion’s Belt’ and ‘Too Much Too Late.’ This was followed by About Time (2017), No Rain, No Flowers (2018), Truth Is (2019), Based on a Feeling (2022), and Fall in Love With Her (2025). With each album, Claudio deepened her presence in the alternative R&B scene and continued to deliver emotionally rich, slow-burning R&B, making her a compelling headliner for the LYFE festival.
Joining her on the lineup is local favourite Lloyiso and Swazi-born, SA-based artist and producer newcomer Manana. Through their powerful and ethereal singing, both these artists channels deep, emotional insights into love and the ties that bind us.
